An outage on WhatsApp that saw thousands of people report issues appears to be mostly over, according to DownDetector.
More than 10,000 people in the U.S. and almost 3,500 people in Canada reported WhatsApp outages at about 11 a.m. Eastern.
As of 12 p.m., the number of reports in Canada had dropped to less than 20, while those in the U.S. were sitting at about 100 and dropping.

There also appeared to be fewer reports of issues on Messenger, which saw more than 200 people in Canada and more than 600 in the U.S. report to DownDetector. Slightly more than 150 Americans also said they were having problems with Facebook.
Few Canadians reported issues on Facebook with slightly more than 50 reports, though it appeared to be resolved in Canada with just three reports by 11:30 a.m.
Those reports fell to less than 20 in both countries for both applications within about an hour after first being reported.
Global News contacted Meta to inquire about the apparent outage, but has not heard back as of this update.
